What are the qualification levels for Air Canada Super Elite, Elite and Prestige status?

Answer:

Air Canada Status Miles are calculated on an annual basis (January 1 to December 31) to determine your Aeroplan membership status for the following benefit year (March 1 to February 28). The qualification levels for 2010 Air Canada Top-Tier status are as follows:

Air Canada Prestige: 25,000 Aeroplan Status Miles or 25 Status Flight Segments
Air Canada Elite: 35,000 Aeroplan Status Miles or 50 Status Flight Segments
Air Canada Super Elite: 100,000 Aeroplan Status Miles or 95 Status Flight Segments


I would have reached another threshold level if my miles had been automatically credited and I need my upgrade certificates. Why can’t I receive them right away?

Upgrades certificates will be issued after the miles have been posted to the Aeroplan account and the threshold level has been reached. Air Canada upgrade certificates cannot be sent in anticipation of reaching new threshold levels.


I would have reached a higher tier status if my miles had been automatically credited. Why must I wait to be awarded my new status?

Your higher tier status will be awarded once the miles have been posted to your Aeroplan account. The early 2010 Air Canada Elite and Super Elite Recognition benefits are available as long as the required Air Canada Status Miles and Flight Segments are credited to your account by October 15, 2009.


Early 2010 Air Canada Super Elite and Elite recognition ends on October 15, 2009. I flew before this date but my miles were not credited. Will I still get 2010 Top Tier status?

As long as the missing Air Canada Status Miles and Flight Segments required are credited to your Aeroplan account by October 15, 2009, you will be awarded Top Tier status immediately. If the missing miles/segments are credited after October 15, 2009 you will be awarded Top Tier status in December or January.
